Vass is def not 700 usd

The local guys are flogging their RTW at 650-680 sgd already.

FYG 700+ USD can get MTO cordovan ankle boots inclusive shipping. Though the pair were not from the local guys as I was not based here for abit
As read from Isaac's emails you could see that the shoe options I've talked about are only available in MTO which in his email starts from SGD970.
Stop being obtuse. LHB clearly said RTW range is 650onwards.

Sure, I can stand corrected on the RTWs pricing but all the options I have referred to are based on the MTO pricing. The MTO options are the also ones we've discussed most on this thread.

You inferred that he was "optimistic" about his RTW prices by claiming that MTOs are more expensive. Furthermore, you challenged him for the source of his pricing, inferring that he was wrong, when you clearly misread and misunderstood his entire message to begin with. Sure, you were right that MTOs are more expensive than RTW. Why contend that his RTW prices are wrong though when they weren't?

What's your point? That MTO prices are more expensive even though LHB was correct in his quotes for RTW prices? You trying to win a Captain Obvious award izzit?:vijayadmin:

Sure, I could retract all my verbal tirade regarding his pricing wrt the RTW pricing. It was my bad on the RTW pricing as I've missed out reading that and I've never purchased a pair of RTW Vass and only MTO ones.

My point was there was no clarifications that the add-on options are based on MTO pricing (which were the ones talked and shown in this thread unless there was a discussion on RTW Vass on this thread?) and would mislead the ones inquiring here that it will only cost SGD650 for a pair of Vass with the add-on options of toe taps, tapered soles and the museum calf options.

Any comments on George cleverley shoes?
Price wise they are all over the place on mrporter, so I'm guessing their benchmade and Anthony range has got quite a gap..
Thinking of getting their benchmade, but some research suggest that they oem from CJ... So the question is; are they worth the premium over CJ?

skoak can avoid GST? i ordered from carmina previously. the UPS guy just turn up at night and ask for $50+. lol.

whats the price point for enzo and vass?

i def need a MTO cause skoak doesn't wanna take UK5 orders except MTO.. sigh.

You just need to gather 2 more folks and you can kick start the GMTO w/o any surcharge.

Of course leather soled shoes can be worn in wet weather. What makes you think otherwise?

No you shouldn't.

  • Leather soaks up water like a sponge. Just like your skin, leather needs a certain amount of moisture to stay strong and supple. But this amount of water can damage the leather, and make it break down prematurely.
  • After your soles get wet, your socks will instantly get soaked. It goes without saying that wet socks are always unpleasant.
  • When leather is wet, it’s much more easily damaged. You wouldn’t want a chunk or two taken out of your expensive leather shoes just because they got wet.

If you happen to wear leather soles on a rainy day, make sure they’re dry before you wear them out again. You can set your shoes on their side to let air circulate around the soles, thus helping them dry faster. Just don’t try to speed up the process by setting your shoes near a heater. That will dry out the uppers and cause them to crack, which is much worse than prematurely wearing down the soles.

Yes you shouldn't go splashing about in puddles but that applies to both vibramed and leathersoled shoes.

Just because you shouldn't doesn't mean you can't... Unless in a thunderstorm there shouldn't be a big issue as long as you practice a good maintenance regime. Which is also the same point the article is trying to make..

Looks like I'm one of the few that actually like the Ron last from meermin. It fits me well on my heels. The breaking in was a bit*h but after that it was really good. I do think the sizing should be very much the same as the new Rey. I got a half size smaller than my others n I find the length a little short.
