Go SGROC. It's a watch forum. At least pple there knows the average selling price.

Ain't all Rolex mass-produced? :D
Depends on how you look at it. I have Rolex too, but the only reason I bought Rolex watches is because it holds it's value better compare to other brands. I do have Seiko and Stowa too. But it's something with sentimental value which I can pass on to my kids.

My rich friend on the other hand, don't like watches. He prefer to pass his bank account directly to his kids. :D

每个爱表者都有不同的方向。因此有些人爱“挑多”，有些人拥护“爱达标痴”。

撇开品牌不说。

先谈芯，
两家都是采用高量生产的775x机芯。从不同论坛讨论中，据我了解。。。
“挑多”买下价格稍贵的7753顶级机芯，在自家厂房加以修饰，小部分修改。
“爱达标痴”的机芯却是由ETA代工，依照IWC的规格，于ETA高量生产的7750作为基底，再做生产。
两种机芯都能轻易找有经验的师傅整修，保养。但是，一旦某个被表厂修改的部件出现问题，需要对换的话，找回原厂部件就需费心了。两个品牌相比之下，较为注重往后转手可得多少价值的人，近万元的“爱达标痴”可就卡在不能找便宜的途径修理，只能死死的栽在IWC的手中。找别的师傅修，就没了IWC的整修收据，附加两年(?)保修期的加持。
“挑多”的拥有者，保修期一过。。。就没了。当然，拥有者可以选择上门到“挑多”维修部门找修表师整修，或者也会得到如“保修延长符”的维修收据加持。只是以一只少过6000元的表来计算，过千的维修费。。。值得吗？有那收据加持，转手价值又会提升多少？
这。。。就要看各人如何选择了。

再谈价，
相比之下，“挑多”是“爱达标痴”的。。。近一半。比较“平以近人”。加上有“老乐死”作为品牌后盾，在本地市场也已经有将近两代的历史，推到二手市场，不怕没人要，只是时间的长短，还有卖家的叫价而已。
“爱达标痴”的命运就不同。在我们阿公那年代，有谁知道IWC呀？还有，推到二手市场，叫价太低难免会叫人对于那二手表有质疑，叫价太高咧。。。新表的7成半。。。也许能买到两只其他“挑多”？那么那只该转手的表，应该呆在陈列柜多久呀？

我们不能阻止任何人喜爱一个品牌，也不能阻止任何人排斥哪个品牌。
只是，市面上的品牌林林总总，每个品牌的广告力度也打得不一样。。。这也就更容易模糊了消费者的注意力，往往不理解一只表的真正值钱的地方在哪里的啦！

小心中招。5000多买只IWC，对我来说是不可能的事。最好交易时，到IWC客服中心验证吧！

kudos to you for taking the effort to type in mandarin. even though I can understand, I just find it a chore to write it in Chinese. Nonetheless, very impressive knowledge of watches and of course...mandarin.

Don't have to try to justify a brand over another,
you are a brand *****... Truth.
Nothing wrong being one, you don't need to justify, buy if you really like it.

If you know about technomarine watches years ago... My ang mo ex-colleague unapologetically loves it cos it was hip at that time.
It was a piece of pink plastic with diamond crusted bezel that costs more than 5k iirc
