You just incurred the wrath of omega fans.

Side track. Many of my friends also feel that way towards omega. When i recommend them, they said not worth the money and all. Then I show them a photo of the 3573 and usually their eye become big.

I recommend to go try as many different Brand and watches as you can before anything. That's the fun part

After trying and all, if still like TH then go do it loh.

quartz movement change battery and dun need much servicing....

auto or hand wind need some servicing but maybe every few years

Not really so, change battery at tag cost like $50 every 2 yrs.at times the service center insist you overhaul that's like $200+. They will also replace rubber gasket and test water resistant if so that's another $50 or so. So every 2 yrs u spending $50 to $300.! If somehow the EOL indicator not working right and battery leak replace dial and movement can cost $400 or so.

I got my tag yrs ago when I know nothing of watch just relative told me buy so I buy blur blur. I was brand ***** back then got a expensive Hugo polo for $200 foolish when I look back as I step into Hugo today and saw them like usd$40! Lucky my brand ***** days lasted for 3-5yrs.

Definitely tudor over tag. Even though tag is more "branded", i see tudor as the "better" brand. Some may remember my father inlaw recently bought the blackbay. Everyday he wear, i see i more gian. He wears it even when during moving house. I think i saw a fine scratch...i feel heartpain...he no feel. Hehe.

Dude for 4k... My suggestion is to get a Tudor. Or get the moonwatch pro. Else oris is a good bet. I am not a fan of tag.. Even though I have a few... But these are purchased with a hefty discount.

Try to check around your social network if anyone u know works in lvmh or luxury retail. They can get you a 35% to 40% discount off retail price of a tag.

The mark up for luxury pieces by retailers are really ridiculous.

To be fair.. The design of omega is pretty dull apart from the famed moonwatch. My favorite omega is still the constellation pie pan watch.... Almost pulled the trigger to get one via eBay... But was doubtful about how original it was

Late 90s more than 1k lah.. I got mine Quartz mid 90s already close to 1k, need 200 more to get auto. Back then I am getting close to 30% off. That time loads of marketing already.

Then mine was the old 2000 series. If you think 1500 series u maybe right

Haha. I wouldn't say tag more branded. Haha. All is branded. Now tudor also do alot of marketing but their pelagos and black bay is the best thing they did. So far in the modern times

Thats y i said branded with " ". Cos to many who don know much, they only see tag. Nvr or seldom hear abt tudor. Nowadays companies who do more advertising, become more "branded".
