I am more concern whether 25t (with 53t and 406) is easy enough for slope. Thanksdepends on individual, some prefer smaller chainring while others prefer bigger sprockets. For foldie, 53t is quite ok with 11t cog, but I hardly use the last 2 cogs these days.

The Summit Trail, you talking about? No bicycles are allowed there, and ya, its quite steep.got one steep slope, Bt timah nature reserve but cannot cyclethink at least above 30 degree inclination to the summit
Coz MTBers face these kind of slopes in our offroad trails quite often, so kinda gotten used to it liao.Bukit timah and pulau ubin mtb trail have 45 degree slope. Road cyclist complain about the gradient but mountain bikers soak it up as daily affairs.
LOL just kidding but steep slopes are common in off road but usually very short only unless go overseas.
Singapore road a bit pampered, even pengarang in Malaysia slope so many, so long that it's not even funny, after 80km my legs cramp like a mother b!tch.
