We haven't apply for bro yet but have discussed about it before.. I think she is "expecting" me to pop the qn soon. In fact, she was the one who mentioned JP to me.. hahaha. Her friend got a Brellia and she said it was very sparkly and nice. I dunno if I should get the same thing or go for something different like the Octagon. I only scared when I hint and ask her, she will confirm now what I'm up to liao.. girls have super strong radar on these kinda things..
Haha since she is hinting u to propose to her, i think its better then u dont bring her down. Give her that element of surprise.

yes... leave the proposal ring to the guys... :D

hahah i chose mine too. But thankfully I said I want to choose, otherwise he'd have just gotten one from tiff&co (cos he like the blue box -____-) and nothing caught my eye there.

I was quoted about 4.3K from JP for about the same specs as your 0.53ct
HCA at 0.9 is gd too.
So to me, its cheap lol.

any reason how come its this price? discount?

Need more info than that.. got the scope images? GIA certificate?

HCA is just one of the many factors to check the diamond's cut.
They have a disclaimer, "Many diamonds with excellent scores may not be traditional 'ideal cuts' ", "it does not yet factor in symmetry and minor facets.". A non-triple excellent diamond can still get good scores.

The tool only uses 17/57 facets of a diamond which is only like 29% of the diamond. If the score is bad, then 29% of the diamond facets is bad.
You still need the check the remaining 71% of the diamond with the scopes.

remember to make appointment before heading down ah.
they will give you all a course and show you the diamonds they carry. dont worry.

so far i only saw the following cuts
-super ideal round
-Solasfera
-Brellia
-princess
-octagen

different people gt different taste in the types of cuts they prefer.
is your wife to be going down with you too?

Hahaha I KNOW RIGHT! While the element of surprise is exciting, the idea of wearing a ring that you are not super in love with is tough! My BF bought a ring from Tiffany without telling me and when he brought me to the store (at that point i didn't know) I was quite unhappy with most of the designs. In the end he brought me to a private jeweller and I was very happy with my customised ring. But when I found out he had actually another Tiffany ring he bought previously I felt so bad! Don't understand boys and Tiffany....

Anyway I went to JP 3 times and still didn't manage to find a diamond I felt strongly for. In the end went to a private jeweller, great cut, HCA scores etc. so guys, don't feel pressured to go to JP, it's just one of the stops!
