not payback, there ish really some problems de... some of them very obvious got fishy biz. the payback ish on the political donations but that accusation seemed no case.

others related to it, like selling away multiple state land/state properties to corporations at 1970s prices instead of current prices, and allowed small private bank 富邦 to makan big govt-backed taipei bank, however, were said to directly resulting in a net loss in taipei treasury.

it was said that some plots currently worth NT 1bil was sold at NT 4mil, which was their 1970s prices. and that was becos ma/kmt had to repay corporates for supporting them in election.

Wah exciting Liao this time

Wah exciting Liao this time

if it turns out tsai wins, the NT15mil political donations case may not be reopened, but the illegal sales of land etc and the KMT party assets (a lot ish illegally acquired during 1950s-80s martial law era) sure tio dig out and beaten to death.

the political donations to ma becomes small case in retrospect. KMT this time ish life on the line liao...

dun think so. he dun really have bad blood with KMT thou he left and formed his own party.

and he is more practical person than KMT hypocrites or DPP drama mama. but if taiwanese really wanna see KMT bleed then james soong prolly wont get elected.

tsai, DPP.

one of the factor here ish tsai always present a good public image since her younger days. the ger next door (now ish auntie next door, anyway she not married) atmosphere, unlike all those cunning-old-fox type uncle politicians.

their legislative is it like our parliament? just that their election is seperate from president?

Sent from Samsung SM-N910G using GAGT

after ww2 it slowly become like our parliament.

in the early days the national assembly ish the parliament while the legis yuan ish just a part of it. but after ww2 KMT proceed with the 3rd stage of sun's grand national plan (建国大纲) in 1947.

according to sun/KMT plans. china would start with military controlled govt after the 1911 revolution, to clear off old reactionary factions (warlords), in order to prepare the nation for constitutional rule, followed by a period of guided/controlled constitutional period, then finally full constitutional period. aka 军政 to 训政 to 宪政. after defeating most of the warlords in 1928 and unifying china, KMT under chiang announced moving over to 2nd stage 训政. after the end of WW2 chiang announced in 1947 china ish ready for full constitutional rule, aka 宪政时期.

but the defeat of KMT and subsequently fleeing to taiwan made chiang revert to martial laws aka 2nd stage for the next 30yrs. after the end of martial law period, the KMT govt transferred most of the powers and functions of the national assembly to legis yuan, since KMT no longer control china and national assembly ish a empty title.

from then on the taiwanese legis yuan became the defacto parliament of taiwan.
