Hi OCBC Team,

On your website, you got this Global Saving Account which allow to save in other currencies.
Let's say if I want to open a USD account, what's the interest rate will be? (It's not FD right?) And also, what's the minimum amount needed?

Also, if TT/bank transfer money from overseas account into this OCBC account, what will be charges for it? Commission based or flat rate? If commission based, what's the percentage?
(Example; TT USD$50k into that account)

Does this account allows me to withdraw money anytime and is there any lockdown period?
If I withdraw money in SGD, the exchange rate will be based on that day rate?

What's the minimum period/duration to close the account before suffer a penalty charge?

Thanks

Hi haremdevil,

Thank you for your interest in our Global Savings Account.

It is a savings account, and you can open in any of the 9 currencies available. There is however a charge of US$20 if the account is closed within 6 months of opening.

The interest rates are calculated based on the daily board rates and a minimum amount of 5,000 Units in the preferred currency is needed for account opening. You may refer to the daily rates here http://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/accounts/interest-rates.html

Incoming funds from overseas will be charged at $SGD10 per transfer.

For withdrawals, we do encourage our customers to transfer to their SGD account first. The exchange rate will be based on the day’s current rate, which you can find here: http://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/accounts/interest-rates.html
Thereafter, you can withdraw in SGD.

You can choose to withdraw in foreign currency cash. However, do take note that one business day notice is needed for any withdrawal in foreign currency cash , and withdrawal is subject to availability.
You may refer to page 4 of our pricing guide for http://www.ocbc.com/assets/pdf/Pricing Guides/Personal Banking Pricing Guide.pdf for withdrawal fees.

For more information, do visit our website at http://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/accounts/global-savings-account.html or call our hotline at 1800 363 3333 to speak to our service executive.

OCBC 365 Credit Card- Recurring Singtel Bill,

Dear OCBC,

How do I arrange for recurring Singtel bills to be paid via OCBC 365 credit card to earn the cashback? The website mentions for Starhub & M1 recurring bills, to arrange using the OCBC EasiPay form. But there is no mention of the option for Singtel bills. I have two recurring Singtel handphone bills. Can both qualify for the 3% cashback?

How about recurring Starhub Home Hub bill? Can it qualify for the 3% cashback too?

Thank you!

my frank CC got a few online transactions appeared 30 dec 15 on statement, OCBC play punk don't give me 6% rebate say posting date different from transaction date.

marketing brochure say calender month now give me another story. becareful with this bank people

OCBC statement shows transaction date... u only have yourself to blame for making purchases near month end.

Did you make $400 non-online transaction? if not boh 6% even if they are posted in Dec

Hi yashirob,

Thank you for your interest in our Voyage card.

The minimum income required for the Voyage card is $120,000 annually.

If you have bonuses that contribute towards your annual income, the bank may take into consideration such bonuses.

If you would like to know more about the Voyage card, feel free to leave your contact number at https://internet.ocbc.com/internet-banking/PublicOnlineForm/Form?FormId=Voyage for our Voyage Cards' specialist to get in touch.

I made 6 bill payment transactions in the month of Dec15 to qualify for the 360 3 transaction bonus.
However 2 of the transactions got rejected.
I would think that 6-2 = 4 successful transactions would still entitle me to the bonus.
However OCBC hotline informed me that as long as any of my transaction got rejected, my entire bonus is voided. How is that fair to the customer?
Why would a rejected transaction void our other transactions as well?

Take note of this guys.

In future, I will only make exactly 3 bill payments for ocbc and nothing else in case any get rejected and I lose my bonus. You guys should do the same, limit your monthly transactions in OCBC to 3.

Hi st0rm5cap3,

As long as the bill for Starhub Home Hub is classified as recurring on their end, it will qualify for 3% cashback under the recurring Telco bill bonus.
