blue oris 65 is butt ugly. date wheel doesnt even match the dial color. too many colors imo. the blue also reduces the contrast between the numeral and dial.

Bro any other Oris series which u think is nice? What about the Aquis set? Haha

The Rodina bauhaus looks to be pretty decent, using a Seagull ST17 (a well known chinese movement) at quite a low price especially considering it comes with a sapphire glass! I can't really think of a valid reason to dissuade you from getting it if you like the design and is ok with a Chinese movement.

Personally I would top up abit more and get a Tisell bauhaus. Similar design, much pricier but still affordable at under US$200, and comes with a well regarded Miyota 9015 movement (one of the top Japanese movements you can get).

Thanks for the recommendation bro. I'll take a look at the other models too! any recommendation on places to see and buy these in person?

bro, take your time to look for a watch. HERE is a good place to start.

Thanks bro! i'll go see see look look!

Tisell watches cannot be viewed in Singapore, no shop carrying them. But their sub homage watch is quite popular in this thread.

I think most of my watches are featured and reviewed by wornandwound haha. I like them because they cater to the lower end watches, rather than the 5-6 digits watches.

I think I'll go for the Tisell Nomos homage when it's back in stock. I like the black one with the black mesh, and bonus is they come with the 9015 movement! For now, let my wallet recover first hahaha.

I saw a lot of ladies wearing DW. It's a fashion brand bah like those Guess watches.
I doubt most youngsters here know about Nomos unless they frequent watch forums. Nomos doesn't advertise much and most of the retailers are in Europe.

Wah....How can compare Nomos with DW!!!!!
Nomos is highly regarding in the horology world. They make almost everything in-house nowadays. :D

Agree with you... When I first started, I also didn't know about Nomos. It's only after I started reading up on them that I know what a hidden gem that they are. Seriously a power house in the horology world. Their designs are very iconic and yes, their in-house movements are fantastic too.

Hmmm maybe I should add a Nomos to my to-buy list? :s13:
I was comparing the the look since what I have heard so far from anyone who bought the DW was because of the look as it was simple and clean.

I for sure know Nomos is way up there because their R&D is to make things work beyond perfection and all in-house is just

Well that the Germans !

There are many simple and clean Seikos around. Not too expensive too. Nomos is not cheap! Here's my Swiss Made FC.

stylistically, the aquis is not to my taste because my taste is very pedestrian. objectively theres nothing much to complain about aquis except for the proprietary lugs which limits your bracelets to what oris have to offer. the oris 65 black is a looker imo. just not the blue one.

edit: the aquis is on the large side. think 50mm lug to lug, so depends on how big your wrist is.

Hey thanks bro, my Dad and I loved this timepiece!

But sadly, after he wore it the first few hours after we exited All Watches yesterday, I heard him knocked onto some arm bars at Taka, and I just saw a small scratch at 1 of the links 😅😅😅, or maybe rubbed with the bracelet and scratched itself lol

Yup, the bracelet is very prone to scratches and scuff marks cos it's not normal steel. But just wear it comfortably, these imperfections are just part and parcel of wearing a watch. The last thing I wanna do is to baby the watch. I wear it for swims and cycling too. :D
