Connecting printer via wireless

Printer model: Canon PIXMA MG3670

Hi, how do I connect my printer to my Starhub wireless router so that I can print with other devices like laptop, Ipad etc?

Tried searching on Canon website but there's no guide for this printer regarding this method.

Experts please advise. Thanks!!

Cannon entry level printer are usually using WPS for wireless setup.

Try these step:

1) Press and hold the WIFI button on the printer till you see it flashing.

2) Go to the wireless router and press the WPS button.

3) wait patiently till both stop flashing/blinking and return to normal mode.

4) Wireless setup done, hopefully.

When you startup the printer the 1st time, it will ask you how to connect the printer. If you can also change that in the printer setting (LCD).

I already managed to connect printer direct to my laptop and ipad already.

If your router doesn't have WPS button, did you download and run the software that is supposed to help with the wireless config on your computer? The config will have to be done on your computer, supposedly.

The link I gave you earlier had a link to download the software for 3670. Did you download and run it?

Click Download to start setup.

If setup does not start automatically, execute the downloaded exe file.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.

Downloaded and ran the program long ago...that's why i could use the printer for my laptop and ipad.
Just that there's no way to connect my printer to my router. That's what i need.

Ok, maybe I phrase my issue a bit more clearly.

I'm able to print from my laptop and ipad, by connecting to the printer wirelessly.
But, by doing this, I will lose my internet connection, especially my laptop, as I have to disable the Wifi, and connect to the printer.

So, how can I connect the printer to my wireless router, so I can print from my laptop while still connected to internet Wifi?

1. Set your wireless printer to static IP e.g. 192.168.1.213 as per advice given by them.
2. Then connect to your router per your normal process.

sounds like you have set it up as Direct Connection, rather than Access Point Connection. Direct Connection means your printing source (laptop/PC/etc) connects through WiFi directly with the printer, hence the printing source will have to disconnect from any existing WiFi network that is on, hence the experience of losing internet connectivity. Access Point Connection means the printer connects to the wireless router directly, and any printing source will therefore connect to the printer through the router, by being on the same wireless network that the router creates.

Oh this model does not have the LCD which make the setup less user-friendly.
