[Clarification] ZOTAC Warranty for GPU - 2+3 Years

Noticed that the Warranty information for Zotac GPU(s) isn't exactly clear in HWC. So created this thread to inform would-be buyers of Zotac cards

Personally, I thought the warranty period is 3 + 2 years. Turns out that I'm wrong as well after checking with Bryan from Tech Dynamic

So the correct warranty period should be 2 + 3 years (User must self-register, within 14 days of purchase, on Zotac's website to qualify for the additional 3 years of warranty! Don't miss this step!)

So during the full 5 years warranty period, users can RMA their cards through Tech Dynamic directly, no need to self-send to Zotac.

1-1 exchange on the spot usually applies, unless the model has already reached the EOL date. In the event that the product has reached EOL date, Tech Dynamic will send the card back to Zotac for inspection/repair. This process may take around 6-8 weeks.

If that happens, am pretty sure still can fall back on Zotac directly. If Zotac close down and run road, then gg

Sorry to bump this old thread.
But I see many used Zotac cards listed under Marketplace with more than 3 years of warranty even when the seller claims still unregistered.

So I had to verify with Tech Dynamic.
As you can see from our email, there are no changes.
Owners still have to register within 14 days for the extended warranty.

Kindly take note and verify with the seller *cough*miner*cough* before buying.

Hi!

Would like to verify if Tech Dynamic would honor the full 5 years warranty
for Zotac 1070 Mini that was only registered after 14 days from the date
of purchase.

Many thanks.

Hi Peter,

Can you send us your registration details?

ZOTAC might accept the warranty extension if registered slightly after 14
days, but thats on case by case basis.

But if registered way after - say like 28 days, they will likely not accept=

Thank you for revalidation with Tech Dynamic. One of the thing I do and would recommend others to do when buying used Zotac GPUs is to check if its registered for the extended warranty. I noticed some sellers will try and dodge the question, and I will also tend to avoid transacting with them since the length of the warranty is one of the reason why I choose Zotac in the first place.

When buying Zotac GPUs, can verify the extended warranty by asking seller for proof of registration.

When I sold my four previous Pascal cards, I included warranty information without the buyers needing to ask.
