Sent in my Dell U3011 for repair today. Quick recovery within 1 hour and managed to revive my monitor at a very reasonable price.

i got a small problem with my old Dell U2711 monitor.

THe screen is working great. Just that when the monitor "wake up" from system boot it will show half red and half blue color screen. Just on and off the power bottom it will work fine.

Then. when the system go sleep or wake up again. sometime it will have the half or full one color screen. on off few time even unplug power also no use. got to try many time then the screen will work normal.

Is it a simple cheap fix?

Was at Richard's office this am, he was out of the country for the last 2 weeks hence wasnt able to reach him.

He managed to fix my Dell U2313HM within 30 mins, replaced the IC unit and the monitor is working great again (previously couldnt power up).

Repair cost is definitely more resonable than those "repair" shops quoted at sim lim.

Richard is probably our last master monitor technician in SG, and he has a great affable personality too.

He still can be reach @ 9858 4833.

My Samsung S32D850T died last week with a loud pop sound with the breaker tripping for the whole house. Luckily found this thread and sent in my monitor to Richard for repair. Very nice and friendly service. He truly is knowledgeable with monitor and PSU repairs. Thanks SNAG for sharing uncle's contact as well!
