Okk thank. later i go back paste here..
but than currently my NAS only had one 2TB hdd le.
lucky not 4tb or i really a ****.

this coming mth i will get two 4tb and do raid. Current only one so did not setup actually.

But than the information giving by the system also not clear euff to explain too..

Contact the support team for advise.

If you need my help, i think you you need to provide few info such as:
- your Original SHR is started with how many disk??? (Important)
- A screen shoot of your current "HDD Management"
- A summary of your smart information - each disk(s)
- A copy of your system log (if the first 3 point is not clear enough to tell what happens)

by just saying crashed many meanings ~~~~
Really suck haha

When something spoils, it doesn't matter how old it is. I got drives dying within a month, and drives that are 5 years old still alive. Just suck it up lah. Spoil means spoil liao, if can fix, "Manage" will be enabled. HDD made of moving parts, so failure will come.

How to show Video artwork in DS Video

I have downloaded the DS Video on my Samsung TV.

Managed to play videos from my Synology 1513+.

Can see files but not artwork.

Anyone knows how to embed the artwork?

Thanks

hi all

just wanna ask, is it normal for laptop to have increased power consumption when there are network drives mapped in the computer?

I mapped some drives from my sinology NAS to my laptop, then realized that the battery drains very fast even when i'm not on the home network (network drives are disconnected).

when I remove all the drives from their mappings, my laptop battery drain returns back to normal.

is this a bug or is there some setting I can tweak to prevent battery drain?

Not sure if the above problem is router related. but i have another problem.
i'm using a asus RT-N15U wireless router. i have setup 2 ssid
- SSIDapple
- SSIDpear

I realise that from all my 3 laptops, i cannot detect the NAS while on SSIDpear.
when i switch to SSIDapple, no problem.
both SSID are WPA2

very strange leh

I have this problem too. I have problem assessing to DSM web when i am on the SSID that the nas is physically connected to. But when i am on the other SSID where the nas is not physically connected to, it can detect DSM web. very weird.....

Ok. Thats clear enough.
Disk 1 sector error and you having issues with reading...

Solution A.
put a new disk in, slowly "copy" the data to new disk 2.
Solution B.
power off. take out the drive, re-install a new disk for NAS. Docking transfer the file back to NAS. then RMA the disk after that.. Do a Raid 1 or SHR-1 which provide one disk fail-tolerance.

BAsed on Smart info ID 1, 5 and 7.
Read error at internal disk [1] sector ==> TRUE. Disk malfunctiong and going to die soon......

If I'm not wrong your Wifi IP is playing the trick.. Check that out.

over the wifi transfer.. perhaps you trying "cmd" > ping NAS ip while transfering... you will know the result

assuming is the name issues, try \\NASIP instead.
20 Video file at a go, classic wifi transfer performance @ 10-15mbps.
supposingly slow but wont drop off just like that..

hope that helps.
