Ordered my DS920+ yesterday from Lazada.

Just wanna double confirm that I can directly transfer my HDD in exact order from DS916+ over to DS920+ right?

Currently my DS916+ is under degraded status with 3 HDD instead of 4 as I suspect one of the SATA is having issue.

how did u get the voucher ?
Issued at midnight at Lazada... it is a Lazada platform voucher. But many sellers for Toshiba N300 cannot use. Then also cannot use the Bank payment vouchers as the time (9am) is not starting the sale.

Any DS920+ user here with more than 8GB memory?

Read online that support unofficially up to 20GB (default 4GB + 16GB memory)
And some user said it would damage its GUI.

Synology offical store in Lazada selling 4GB & 8GB but description did listed one more variation, 20GB

I had ordered 1TB to test...

The part that I'm curious is synology had listed 20GB under product details:

I am new to synology. I just gotten DS220j. While trying to setup, I cannot create new volume in the storage manager section.
I have only installed one WD 3TB RED into the device. Could this be the probelm ? Do I have to install 2 HDD ?
The device keep beeping as well.

Get the new NAS with a new set of harddisks, then just transfer from one NAS to another. Synology allows mounting another NAS into itself, hence you can copy directly from your old NAS into Synology without going thru your own system.

I tried to mount my buffalo nas in Synology. However it prompted connecttion failed and prompted "to ensure the remote server is accessbile via NFS.

I have enable NFS in synology already.

Your buffalo NAS should be using SMB/CIFS. From the Synology NAS mount an external SMB/CIFS storage, not NFS.

Thanks davidktw. I got it. Appreciate it very much. Was spending a couple of hours figuring the problem yesterday.
