While I am no fan of the RTX series so far, I am not sure why people will feel Nvidia is screwing existing RTX users. It's been almost a year since they released the RTX series, so this can pass off as a refresh of their product. It's normal for prices of tech to drop over time, though Nvidia artificially kept it high due to lack of competition and some buyers are undeterred by the price.

When RTG start to overtake them in 2025.

the problem is that Nvidia have fixed a new higher tier price point and is not coming down anytime soon, if ever.

All flagship gaming card now carry the price tag of a Titan at least.

higher end gpu has a higher price tag, but lower end gpu like 1660 i bought recently, the price is still the same 3 years ago $380 6gb. for people that wanted to buy the best gpu, they have to pay more $$.
