The adjustable angle is limited. As you can see, you are only able to rotate the camera & adjust the arm.

Wait for both of them to 'Talk' until the LED on the camera turns to solid Green

You are done! It will ask you if you want to add this camera into your Dlink account.

For other camera configurations via web browser or the mobile app, pls refer to my DCS-5222L review

Video Quality

I will compare the video quality with these 3 models:
From the left; DCS-2136L (720p), DCS-5222L (720p with pan & tilt) & DCS-2630L (1080p with 180deg)

3 Brothers looking after your home at night.
The 2136L emits a strong light to help it see in total darkness. Without turning on this light, it is totally useless at night. Hence, if you do not wish to have this light, 2136L is not for you.

Final Verdict
This is by far the best IP camera I've tried from Dlink. The image is clear & colour is quite impressive. The camera is pretty heavy compare to 2136L & 5222L. I only used a 3M tape to mount my 2136L, but dare not try it on this 2630L.

The full HD & 180deg wide angle are the main selling points for 2630L. You be the judge, I am not writing about them.

The 2360L is connected via wifi, no LAN port. At first, I was doubtful about the connection stability, but it proved me wrong. The 801.11ac is very stable. No drop in connection since I got it 3 weeks ago.

I have to highlight this; I find that the adjustment of the camera angle is very limited. You can only adjust the arm forward & backward, and the rotate the camera clockwise or anti-clockwise. It missing a 3rd axis, so, if you intend to wall mount it, you have to plan properly before drilling the holes.

Pros & Cons

Pros
- Full HD
- 180deg view without fisheye effect (no warping)
- Setup was pretty easy for wireless. Took me about 7min.
- Motion detection & Sound detection
- Able to record into Qnap NAS
- Very good video quality for Day & Night

Cons
- Expensive at $289
- Limited adjustment angle to the camera mount
- No direct wire connection (may not be necessary a negative point here since the wireless connection is stable)

If u look at night vision, there is better distribution of IR on surrounding compared to Wanscam OEM in Singapore. And you do not see any warp of corners nor blurness. Despite being a fixed camera, this is more than enough to cover your home. Hows the motion detection?

Can you advise what NAS you are using and what software?

What sort of recording rates? FPS, bitrates?

I was using Qnap TS-459 Pro+, but recently sold it. So I cant give u any info on that.

Qnap has their own software in the nas to add IP cameras & the software will do the recording into the NAS. It also has a desktop software for u to view live in multiple windows.

The FPS stated in the configuration settings IIRC is 15 or 30fps. Whether does the recorded file is in 30fps constant, I didnt check. I find that the video are smooth, of cos provided ur connection is strong. 2630L has pretty gd connection, so no issue.

abt 2.8m. In case u want to know, the output of the power adapter is 5V 2A. As the connection to the camera is a microUSB, maybe u can power it with a powerbank that can output 2A.
