Basically, they sent me an email earlier and ask me afew questions. I explained to them what happened and answered their questions accordingly. They just replied to ask me to send the CPU in and they will replace it for a 1-time off basis.

Able to get motherboard from amazon now?

Because i was under impression for many years that motherboard is one of the items that have to get from local distro due to the CR2032 cmos battery. Many years ago, tried to get a motherboard for an Intel Haswell-based motherboard from amazon, amazon themselves and many forwarders refused to ship it due to the battery.

There was a brief period post 9-11 when shipping of batteries by air was banned. The rule was quickly relaxed to allow batteries when shipped as part of another product .... so shipping of motherboards have been allowed for years now.
