Question ???ASUS PG279Q safe to get now???

i plan to get one of the monitor
but after reading so many terrible reviews about the poor QC on this model about BLB etc

anyone that has bought this set recent can advise?
i saw those vids too.

i compared the pg279q and xb271hu and in the end gotten the xb271hu. May 2016 Prodution batch. no dead pixels and i dont notice any blb or maybe i just didnt purposely look for it. Its cheaper too, but some might not like the stand.

a bit too ex$$ for luck if due to no QC

jackport...the stand of acer stop me from buying it

i am aiming for the acer xb271hu, but don't know got same issues or not
unacceptable blb really spoil the experience

I thought XB271HU and PG279Q both using AU Optronics panels?

while X34 and PG348Q are using LG panels

Before the rants start to come in from all directions, do take note IPS Glow and Backlight Bleeding are 2 very different things. Uninformed users tend to mix the 2 together.

Even my Dell also have this phenomenon to some extent.
