Hi need recommendation for CPU/GPU for an upgrade from my current 4 yo laptop. Build for gaming

Currently can obtain following:

i7-6700k + gigabyte z170x gaming 3
Gskill Trident Z 3000 MHz C15 8x2
Crucial MX 200 250GB
Cryorig A80 AIO
Corsair RMx 850W PSU
NZXT H440

SUM ~ 1400 SGD

Currently have monitor keyboard mouse
Storage going to strip down an existing WD ultra portable drive
Have an available win 7 install that can upgrade to win 10 for free by Jul 29

Was wondering if I can save about 50 bucks going for i5-6600k instead? i7 worth the extra 50?
Considering an AMD RX-480 AIB when it comes out in maybe a week? Or spend cash on 1070?

budget: can spend another 400 bucks, but maybe can push to 600 if I eat cheap for the rest of the month
well if u are ok to spend a bit more just go for i7 for future titles. and i rather u just get a better GTX 1070 - 1440p but if u going for 4k gaming still better get GTx 1080.

Can get recommendation for New vr rig - but Budget conscious...

Eyeing at most gpu Nvidia 1070 and no need monitor & speakers. Feel free to pm me too!
how much budget u will spend? if u want GTX 1070 wont be too budget. and currently GTX 1070 have VR issues with certain brand VR, not sure if new driver can fix the issues or not. else u can consider getting rx 480

Hi all, i would like to build a new system, my old PC died on me.

Would like to have a recommendation on what I need to get.

My primary usage is gaming (witcher 3, FO4, BF 1) Would like to play these on ultra high graphic setting. Secondary usage is editing like adobe illustrator.

Will not overclock, using single screen. Do not need a screen, speakers, keyboard or mouse.

My budget is $2500

Thank you!

but to overhaul such usage with 600 is kinda tight though. u might end up using onboard gpu.

Any gaming non-overclock motherboard to recommend? And gaming 2K monitor. Playing AAA games at highest settings across all genres.

Many thanks zreo

Could you recommend me the RAM (16vs32) and ODD as well?
Would'nt mind going a little above budget for it.

Lastly, possible to recommend a screen that would be good with the GTX 1080, budget $500?

paiseh forget to add ram in
well im not sure how heavy u are using for photoshop, but 16GB is enough, if u willing to throwing more is up to u.

As for ODD, do u need a blueray type or dvdrw kind? blueray im not sure, but dvdrw u can get asus @25 same shop.

well as for ur usage, u can consider these 2:

Dell UltraSharp 24 InfinityEdge Monitor | U2417H
Dell UltraSharp 24 Monitor U2415

ya 2k should be more than enough for a VR build. and GTX 1060 will be available on the 19th July, which is 2 days later.

so if u want a build with GTX 1070 or GTX 1060?
