Cyberpunk 2077 , ave is fps ok but 1% lows dip into 40s when in areas with a lot of NPCs. Dropping crowd density to low doesn't seem to have any effect. Wondering if i should consider cpu or gpu upgrade ?

5700g / rx 6800 (undervolted)

ur 5700g is a cut down 5700.... if gaming is ur think go for 5600x3d 5700x3d or 5800x3d
rx 6800 is still a very capable card... u can ask @NightRaven49

Yah...I'm thinking of getting 5700x3d online. Was looking at 7500F also but I prefer to not change entire system just yet.

now IT show online promo can get 7500F + b650 for S$4xx , that's why considering 5700x3d or 7500F. 5800x3d to ex for my taste. :p Although i am not sure if x3d will have any benefit at 1440p native as I am not really cpu bottlenecked ( gpu already above 90 % usage )

way too expensive for what its worth. the mobo is outrageously priced, its almost 500usd for a mobo that is coming to 2 gens old now, and if u buy local am5 it will be way cheaper and faster.
current 5700g + rog strix b550i: 660usd = s$880 before gst
8600g + gigabyte b650i ax from dynacore: s$624, >$250 cheaper for a faster cpu and especially igpu, plus being on a platform that will still receive updates. local stock means u have local warranty too.
i also dont see the point of having 64gb of ram on a system without dgpu, 32gb is plenty even for high end gaming pcs.
and if ur more concerned about size than build quality, taobao has similar sized cases for a very small fraction of what is quoted for the velka, and even that quote seems quite unreasonable: ur paying over s$800 for a case and 600w psu.

thanks for the reply. i got 8700g and asus b650e-i as i need the front usb panel on my inwin chopin.

im using 64gb ram as i do development in docker and VMs. no hard gaming. only getting the 8700g cuz it can play some light games.
