I've been using the Benel Q-Mesh chair for around 2 years and its quite comfortable. The build is also quite sturdy and I have not had any issues with it so far.

Will do a search on it . Thanks!

I tried don't know ergo or duorest, and my slipped disc hurt like ****.

Many years back i did a little research.
I saw the model at alibaba, I think it's actually a rebadged made in China OEM model. I remember there's not much ergonomic evidence.
Is some AMDK doctor claiming to be a back specialist, selling the product.

BTW i also had the Steelcase think chair, also crap.
Mesh crap, support crap. The base is plastic, the gas cylinder seem to be pushing through and was almost touching the floor, and would scratch it.
And it cost as much as a Herman Miller for don't know what reason.

Herman Miller not all model can buy, the Sayl chair is also plastic base, and are made in China. The backsupport is also crap.
Aeron and Embody use heavy cast aluminium for base, very sturdy one. The mesh on the aeron hold its strength very well.

A lot of "ergonomic" chairs are made in mass in China, then businessmen buy over and add their own label. There are no ergonomic research in the design. There are also a lot of cases of china office chairs' gas cylinder exploding.

Aeron/Embody, i've both.
I've tried all the top brands in SG and still don't think they are close.

Aeron is fully mesh in both seat and back, so won't be that hot.
The posture fit support is fully adjustable to control how much depth you need.

Embody iirc is fabric supported by springs, also quite breathable. It's more comfortable. The entire back frame is the backrest, it's like an exoskeleton, you can control the tension.

In term of comfort, Embody is better.
In term of support, Aeron is imo better esp if you add the headrest.

If you need to lay back, the Aeron has 3th party fully adjustable mesh headrests in the market. It's very good because it can be tuck right under your neck. If you add together, the fitting is so good until your entire body can't move much. Like a vegetable stuck in good posture. haha

I could tilt and bend very comfortably during my worst days of slip disc on the chair. Also sit for a long time.

These secret lab chairs are never ergonomic.
Traps heat, and don't even have adjustable lumbar.

No matter how they claim it's not, these designs been sold in China for years. https://www.alibaba.com/products/F0/...38.1.48.8tf6NF

They will tell you your posture wrong, tell you to strengthen the selected muscles but you will get back to the wrong posture very soon.

Until one day the ortho was kind enough to tell me get a good chair. Because the chair will simply force you to sit correctly rather than you try to remember correcting yourself.
To be frank, you will also forget which posture at what angle the therapist told you to maintain.
If you sit in a good posture for hours, even when you stand up, the muscles will remember and keep it that way.
Herman miller sell hospital range of furniture and are well recognised. It really works the most for me.

During my worst time with the slip disc. I can't even change from stand to sit or lay down position. The pain was so sharp, tear will ownself flow out. I could only stare at my bed for ten minutes don't dare to get down. Later I figured I have to fall down on the bed like a timber without bending the body to minimize the pain.

Later, it's a Thai massage lady who advised me to do the opposite of what the doctors said and it helps me the most. Now I can play sports with 95 pct of the pain eliminated.
But if I sit on a lousy chair again. Thr pain will come back immediately.

According to the physio, he told me that people after their 30s will have a higher chance of slip disc. Long time with bad sitting posture will slowly push the disc out,and any big action in the wrong posture can turn the condition very bad easily.

the thai massage lady, she advised you to stand more? what was the opposite of the doctor's advice?
