Not bad. The lumbar cushion is very firm, but not adjustable. Adequate support

Totally happy with the quality! Happy enough to share with the bros here...

The base is one solid plastic structure, quite thick and sturdy. It has a very slight plastic smell that disappears within a few days. Not offensive at all.

This is the surface where it meets the plastic underbody, secured with 4 thick screws. Can adjust to 2 positions, cos there's total 8 screw holes on the plastic seat base. Very heavy and well made.

This is the reverse side we normally see.

Base is aluminium alloy, with reinforcing ribs. PU castors , very silent. All the screws are black anodized, so won't rust.

This is what it looks like. Armrests are 3D, can adjust height, angle and forward/backward. Armrest surface is soft PU. Headrest can adjust height but not angle. Back lumbar support can't be adjusted, but is very firm and sturdy. Can recline and lock in 4 positions, the seat angle will tilt as u recline. I normally use the 3rd recline position.
Bonus feature: there's a "shelf space" between the plastic seat base and mesh. Big enough to store a stack of magazines.
What I did was, wrap a Daiso blue ice slab in a towel, put it in the space, such that I will be sitting indirectly on the ice slab. Cool balls on hot days...damn shiok man!:s13:
And since it's a mesh chair...no more swamp ass!:s12:

Build quality : 5/5. Great fit and finish. No creaks or shakiness when leaning back.
Features : 4/5
Comfort : YMMV, for me it's 5/5
Value for money : 5/5 no horse run

This is the exact same chair sold by Take A Seat, their warehouse is at Mandai Estate. They also sell at Lazada, http://www.lazada.sg/m16-ventilated-...e-9678793.html . $189 with delivery; another version without mesh seat is $149--armrest can vertically adjust but not horizontally.

This series is quite popular as many time the stock will run out, take a month or so for them to replenish.

Actually if u think about it.

$600 for a chair that say last 3 years.
12 years spend $2400 liao.
Also don't know the "ergonomics" work or not. Those China fellows don't know got even do any studies or not. Wait angulate your back wrongly and make the back even worse.

One Aeron chair cost $1700 and has 12 years warranty, they easily last 20 years.
I've one in the office i just found out bought in 1998 and still look like new after yearly wiping, never service before except changing the wheels.
Also guarantee to work. I've multiple slipped discs and now, no pain liao. :o

pawn_king 05-08-2017 10:05 AM

XTRA got 5% off GSS for HM.

Not sure if the savings and the made-in-US version at the HWZ MO is more worthwhile.
Seems like XTRA service and warranty is very good.

yau_chee 05-08-2017 10:28 AM

Is herman miller embody better than Aeron?
Heard that it'll have those squeaking noise after a while.
