Larry the boss was very nice to meet customers on weekends to teach us on sitting ergonomically and letting us try the different chairs. He has aerons and ergohuman and other chairs for comparison. I had a very good experience interacting with him and can feel his enthusiasm in teaching ergonomic sitting even if you are not going to buy from him. I think ergo human can be a consideration depending on budget. Tradesk was selling ergo human close to $800 which is the price of the a fully loaded used aeron. I liked the headrest on the ergo human but didn't really like the mesh that much. But comparing the mesh of ergohuman to aerons is not apple to apple. |

Hey there everyone, could I have some recommendations on an office chair?
I think for me the most important feature would be the material of the chair base, because I've been sitting on one which is the cushion type, and it's so bad, cause I keep feeling the hard base of the chair as the cushion sinks (not sure if it's cause of my weight? I'm 70kg), so I think I would like a chair with a mesh material instead (no cushion below which could sink into a hard base), if there's such a thing? Or maybe my understanding is off. I also have been reading this topic quite a bit, and I know that majority recommends the HM Aeron, but it really seems quite steep, at a 1.6-1.7k price range. Would anyone be able to recommend other chairs at maybe $1k or lower, preferably lower? I just don't know if I should fork out so much for an Aeron, especially given that the measures are starting to be loosened and more and more of us are returning to the office. Please let me know the best recommendations you have, thank you all! |
