Bought 4 of those used Aeron chairs 3 months ago. They looked like new and I thought I got a good deal.

Got one gas cylinder had a loud thud then stopped working. Don't know what happened.
Another one the tilt limiter cannot lock the angle anymore

Bought a new chair instead, then notice that the mesh for my old chairs are comparatively a little saggy. Really gimme headache.
I think when they refurbish those chairs, they probably ordered from China those cheap gas spring. You are lucky it did not explode and kill you.

Did you buy from carousell?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes I bought from carousell. Look for blahblahblackpig. He doesn't post much. My chair so far so good no issues or regrets. He had lots of HMs to choose from.

I bought a used Steelcase leap v2 from local reseller. Unfortunately it is too short for me (the top of the chair can't even reach my shoulders). The lack of headrest/upper back support really makes it unusable for me. I cna't find a single third-party attachable headrest. I find it weird because I'm only 1.8m (shouldn't the reviewers who are mostly angmoh be taller than that??). The softness of the seat cushion is very good though.

Looking to sell off, anyone interested can pm me. Chair is in very good condition.

Also looking for other recommendations - no Aeron as I can't stand mesh chairs. I like to sit at slight recline around 120 degrees in front of the computer for long hours, so upper back/shoulder/neck support + soft cushion for the tailbone is essential.

For me, I will rather go for a new chair. Besides don't know how dirty it is, God knows whether they refurbish with China cheap parts. The wheels break frequently, you will need the warranty.

Lastly, the new version of remastered Aeron is much more comfortable than the old design.

Any idea what's the cost for a brand new remastered Aeron?

I think close to 2k for the new remastered Aeron.
I remember I bought my first one for $1.2k+ 15 years ago or so. I observed that they are like CPF min sum, keep increasing every year and nowadays made in China.

Still worth it.
About 15 years ago, my father spent 50+k on sinseis and chiropractors to heal my L4 - S1 slipped discs. All waste of time and money.

Steelcase office solution pte ltd

I went to their office that time to view and buy the chair. Paid around 1200+ 5 years ago. Quality is top notch. After 5 years still good as new.

When buying 2nd hand you can keep on the lookout for personal users selling. Usually newer (assuming they buy first-hand) and don't really have to worry about the parts being replaced with inferior products. That said, hard to come buy.

I managed to snag a HM Mirra 2 for $700 and it was practically just 1 year old but pretty much unused.

Any recommendation for an affordable ergonomic mesh chair with recline function? Probably around 350 or less.
