When the broadband connection is down, I'll only then turn on the Wifi so I can connect to my phone's Mobile Hotspot temporarily.

That and because the motherboard antenna is transmitting Bluetooth as well which I use to connect my PS4 controller regularly as a media control as well as game controller.

Dun have to do that. A USB wiki adapter will do the job well too.

That being said, I will still use ethernet if possible.

Why do you want yourself to suffer by using WiFi?

Since so many people here hate WiFi, tablet and phone manufacturers should cease using SoCs with an embedded WiFi radio.

Laptop OEMs should stop bundling a WiFi card into their machines.

Then everybody can use cabled Ethernet the way they like to.

Mobility and portability is the only reason for me to use WiFi. Phone and tablet we carry everywhere, thus the usage of WiFi.

Desktop is primarily used for gaming (at least for me). Thus I would want to use cable for the minimal latency issue and lower the probability of getting disconnection etc.

Using WiFi is like using a portable Battery phone charger. U use it only when you have to.

Using wifi, ain't no complain so far. In fact, recently changed to TP Link Archer T6E coz I'm using my USB wifi elsewhere. Not convenient to pull a lan line in my case.

Not playing competitive games, wifi speed hover around 500mbps on normal usage. Don't have whatever speed drop, latency issue much ppl said. Maybe I'm not competitive enough to feel less than 25ms ping.
