What big bro ZrE0_Cha0s recommends are good card options to replace. Ultimately, it will points down to your budget, your gaming experience/quality. Advices from big bro can only give you the rough guide. Gaming experience will still fall under personal preference. ZrE0_Cha0s posted a youtube video on the performance on AC game. This is also coming from one point of view. You can even search for most of the different brands. Different brands also cost differently, performance 5-7% different, different cooling performance.

1060 6Gb would be fine, but you can go and explore the other options and see what best fits your desired gaming performance.

Sure, thanks :)

Got a eGpu case, considering thunderbolt3 throttling, whats a good gpu to get?

Currently i have a gtx 1050ti in my old desktop.
1. Is it a good idea to swap in a 1070ti and use the old 1050ti on my egpu case.
2. Is this a good time to get 1070TI? I can afford to wait another month if new gpu is coming out.

1. Depends on which one u use the most laptop or desktop?
2. Its hard to say at this point since they made an announcement that its gonna be a long wait for next gen? While rumors is on next month. But if u can afford current peicing den go for it? If not maybe 2~3 mths to see the fall. But definitely not a drastically drop, maybe a small drop.

500-700. hope to get 27inch. is 1080 and 1440p difference alot?

Wah if aim for 1440p in gaming GtX 1070/1070 ti are the recommended. Otherwise GtX 1060 for medium setting.

Well yes its a lot of difference between 1080p and 2k.(that is to me, not sure for others.)

GALAX 1070Ti to run your 2k 1440
else 1070 is enough to run your normal HD 1080.
as for monitor if you're not brand cautious, Prism+ x240 or x315 for gaming.

x315 pro is one my shortlisted model. Do you have any other recommendation?

can consider Acer XB27 something model (kinda old but still a good 1440p @144hz (iirc) (look for those using ips mode) should be around your budget.

I just bought a 27 inch 4K monitor. My GTX 460 can't do 4K -- what's the cheapest I can do as an upgrade? I'm not interested in superior gaming performance (mostly play indie PC games), just want to use 4K resolution and watch videos in 4K.

Can go for the Zotac 1080 Mini too since the price difference from the 1070Ti is less than $100. It can run 4k up to 30fp-ish medium settings and 1440p max settings bah. This card should be able to handle any games for the next 3 years. Also it has 5 yrs local warranty.

If you don't plan to overclock the gpu, the 1080 mini is a good choice as it runs cooler and its small size (21cm length) is designed for small ITX case.

I have recently replaced my current 19" monitor to the prism W270 and GPU from GTX760 to the 1080 Mini. I am getting 70fps avg running Battletech (TBS mech game) at 1440p high settings which is 3 times faster than the old card. I'm holding out the CPU upgrade until next year as i'm playing mostly TBS games and the current CPU is still good enough.
