GTX 1050 4GB vs GTX 1050ti 2GB?

which is better? gtx 1050 4gb or gtx 1050ti 2gb?

tried googling it but there's mixed reviews...

suppose that the 1050ti 2gb is $20 more expensive than 1050 4gb...

mainly using it to play dota 2.

or should i just get 1050 2gb?

the base gpu is 1050 2GB, but can top up $60 for 1050 4GB and $80 for 1050ti 2GB

how important is the VRAM?

The 1050ti 2GB is usually only on laptops. Desktop is 4gb standard I think.

What a weird config. For most laptop I see on the market, both gtx 1050 and 1050 ti come with 4gb vram for most gaming laptop.

Try to get the 1050 ti if you can, the performance is notably better (provided both are the same 4gb vram)

1050ti. dota on 1080p high is only going to use 1gb of vram. 4gb is worthless on a 1050, a game that would use 4gb will never be playable on a 1050.

The extra gpu power on the 1050ti is going to be useful if you play on high/max settings.

the jump in price is pretty huge for 1050ti 4gb tho

the base gpu is 1050 2gb

top-up $60 for 1050 4gb
top-up $80 for 1050ti 2gb
top-up $160 for 1050ti 4gb

not sure if I want to spend an additional 160 on a 1k laptop...

Just go for 1050Ti 2GB, think of the long term rather than short term like more upfront cash now.

If that's the case just go for 1050 ti 2gb.

As mentioned by Hailgod and the others, Dota 2 won't hit 2GB vram usage on high settings. Should be just nice with 2GB if you are able to run max/near max.

Truthfully I dun even once bothered with 1050 .

1060 is obviously better at that price performance point of like 100 bucks more .

Too bad now GPU prices all shot up . and they even have the balls to sell 1050 near 300 dollars point.
