Home DeskTop i7

Hi,
I am looking at a decent desktop where I can use it for work and some online gaming.

Lenovo has pretty good student discount and the specs looks decent. So far I shortlisted:

IdeaCentre A540 (24, Intel)

vs

IdeaCentre A540 (27, Intel)

The only difference I could see between these 2 is just

Graphics: AMD RADEON 540X 2G 2GB GDDR5 vs Intel UHD Graphics 630 vs

Which one is a better grahpics card?

really depends on what requirement your online game....and i would said that 540x is just barely the lowest setting u can go for playing it and intel uhd u can don't bother.

AIO PC are not meant for gaming.
It is using Notebook CPU and Graphic thus
Compare with a actual desktop it maybe slower.
Suggest go for a desktop like the new Dell Inspiron 3881 with Geforce 1650 around $1.3k.
Add a gaming monitor would be a better option.

There is xps and g5 you can consider also.
But the i7 option will be over $2k.
Generally if you are light gaming, i5 will be suffice.

Thks for the recommendation. $1.6k is really a good buy just that it has no monitor. Saw a decent gaming 24" monitor [https://qoo.tn/BeneAX] at <$200..so its still less than 2k overall

10th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-10700F processor(8-Core16M Cache2.9GHz to 4.8GHz)

Windows 10 Home, 64-bit, English

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1660 SUPER™ 6GB GDDR6

16GB, 1x16GB, DDR4, 2933MHz

512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive

Certain configuration have no option for dual channel kit unless Dell G5 than
have.

https://www.dell.com/en-sg/shop/desk...desktop?~ck=bt

Take note these days i7 doesn't mean it's the best, i7 vs i5 difference
is the core.
i5 is 6 core while i7 is 8 core, games wise i5 and i7 perform not from each other.

If you want to save $ so you can get a better gaming monitor with G-sync can go for the i5 option instead.

If TS is planning to spend $1600 to $1700, can also consider Aftershock PC.

It is cheaper, comes with a better graphics card, can upgrade to future Ryzen 4000 CPU without changing motherboard (unlike Intel), parts are not proprietary (unlike Dell) and has a 3 year warranty (1st year onsite pickup and return).

The price and specs of the Aftershock PC. Link from:
https://www.aftershockpc.com/welcome...onfigRec/rapid

**Take Note, you have to change the CPU from Ryzen 5 3600 to Ryzen 7 3700 in order to have the price as below**

Price: $1590

3 Years Parts Warranty (1st Year Onsite Pickup and Return)
-RAPID Mesh Edition High Airflow Tempered Glass Chassis
-For AMD - GIGABYTE B550M DS3H (4 Ram Slots)
-AMD RYZEN 7 3700X | 4.4 GHZ | 8 Cores 16 Threads
-ZOTAC RTX 2060 OC 6GB
-Premium Enthusiast Grade Thermal Compound
-16GB Klevv BOLT X 3200 Mhz (8x2)
-AIR COOLING : Intel / AMD stock cooling fan
-512GB SAMSUNG M.2 NVME SSD (R: 3500 | W: 2900)
-AFTERSHOCK S1 ARGB Fans X 4
-Standard Cable Setup
-600W FSP/EVGA 80+ Certified PSU
-Windows 10 Home 64bit ***(Unactivated)***

I would suggest going for Aftershock than Dell or Lenovo.
