More than enough lar. Haha Ryzen IPC is comparable to the Kabylake processors. Oc till 3.7 should get you good enough performance like an overclocked i5 on this resolution.

I believe you can see it for yourself on other websites review.

It is of the same standard as intel. Those with non X CPU are cooler a bit.

oh thx man! But just wondering in real life for people who had intel and ryzen, does the room has any changes? Coz i'm using haswell e and its quite hot, blowing hot air out, so wondering shld i change to ryzen or stick with intel

last night quickly browse the reviews for the lowest end ryzen 3 1200 , specifically cinebench R15 and gaming

weaker than expected if they downclock it further to squeeze into laptop TDP ... the cinebench score would be very close to the common i5-7200u (2c4t) while lacking the single thread advantage of intel

Ryzen in general runs cool, on par with Intel's offerings.

At stock:
The main difference I've seen is that Ryzen's XFR is very aggressive with voltages, pushing up to 1.55V for fractions of a second to stabilize boost clocks. This leads to temperature spikes, but average temps are still well under control.

Overclocked:
Depends on how aggressive you are with your OC. Generally, at max stable OCs, Ryzen is cooler, probably because Ryzen chips hit a wall of diminishing returns far before temps get out of control (but performance is pretty good!).

To answer your question.. it's going to be a bit cooler than Haswell-E, but there will still be warm air blowing out. If you want to obtain good bang for buck from your Ryzen, you will probably choose to OC it. So if you're changing to Ryzen solely because of temps, don't bother, you might get the same results from undervolting your Haswell-E.

I dont think it matters much if you change to Ryzen.

6 cores and above are usually hot when overclocked. Feeling hot air exhaust out are normal.

Just make sure your room are well ventilate.

Ryzen runs cooler, but that should not be the reason for swapping. When you game, together with the heat from gpu, your room will still feels stuffy / warm if its not well ventilated.

The main benefits for getting ryzen are mainly for the multicore processing power, if your daily usage requires them, then you might consider.

Thanks guys for all the replies! I'm looking to change partly i'm planning to change to a smaller PC so prob gg to matx or itx mobo. As for OC, i prob wont OC and only stick to factory clock speeds. I understand there's always hot air blowing out, just wanna bring it down abit as i have a small study room in a new hdb flat. I prob looking at ryzen 5 vs I5 7600K for comparison. I dont game that much anymore, just playing SC2, rainbow six siege & world of ships. I'm using i7 haswell e, it serves me well for the last few years, so i think there's no need for me to go i7 or ryzen7. Just wanna bring the temperatures down abit.

Pointless again. Cause even if you bring down the temps, you will still feel the heat trapped.

A ryzen 5 or 7 is technically around 250-280w. That is the amount of heat output to your surroundings.

It won't bring down your temps in the room.

You need to improve your room ventilation rather than just swapping your CPU.
