It's confirmed Z87 boards can support Haswell Refresh Devil's Canyon
8 series boards can support haswell refresh K series chips. ECS has released a bios update! Those on 87 dont need upgrade to 97 to take advantage of upgrade!

Good. That should be the way.... Since devil canyon is the same as older Haswell.... why should pple buy new board?

It's still a Haswell processor - only the codename changed to denote the new barrage of processors.

With or without a BIOS update, it will still work.

Even if they never confirm you can still guess it will eventually happen - Intel need to target at wider audience and make buyers think they need a new CPU and they can upgrade easily.

Typo i meant Haswell Refresh K

Wccftech or bit tech had an article i forgot to link. But it is quite sure that it will work with z87
