Hi all,

Looking to build a PC for my wife using Fractal Design Era ITX casing -

https://shopee.sg/Fractal-Design-Era-ITX-i.212117108.5425418170

Need recommendation on some of the components to get. Lost touch with custom PC building as haven't touch them in quite awhile, and would really appreciate your help on what would be some of the better brands nowadays!

Power Supply - ???
GPU - RTX 2060 Super (which brand has profile that can fit the casing?)
CPU - Ryzen 3600
MB - ???
Storage - 512TB SSD + 1TB HDD
Ram - 16GB DDR4 (??? Hz for best value)

Budget preferably below 1.5k, inclusive of casing, excluding any peripherals.

The game she is playing now is The Sims 4, waiting for Sims 5 to come out. As we are moving to our new flat soon, will also explore more co-op games with her.

I currently own a Zotac GTX 1070, but not too sure if it may fit into the casing! If yes, I may just transfer that 1070 to her and upgrade my GPU :s12::s12:

Thanks in advance!

Just get a lightweight laptop or hybrid like Surface Pro or Asus Zenbook S.

If look for good price/performance, go for AMD RYZEN 3 3300X. For gaming, 3300x is better choice than 3600.
Directly get a 1TB/2TB SSD and a external drive for storage.

Hmmm but 3600 will be better for tasks due to more cores right?

If only for gaming I thought intel will be a better choice?

if ur wife does a mix of workstation tasks (eg 3d work) and gaming, 3600 is the better choice, but if purely gaming, 3300x offers more value since it is cheaper but offers similar gaming performance. intel chips are better in the sense that u will get the most fps in a given price bracket, but the margins are often slim and not worth the premium.

Yeap 3600 is better for tasks, but with lower CPU boost. 3300x has higher boost clock and cheaper.
Intel CPU is so hot and put in ITX build you have to consider for proper cooling solution.
I5-10600 alone cost S$359 at Lazada SG.
But 3300x $195 + ASRock B450 GAMING-ITX/AC $209(OOS), only cost S$404 with similar performance and you no need to consider for fancy cooler.

Anyway, consider to get a better Mobo like B550 for Ryzen 4000 compatibility.
