Yeah I meant whether it supports VESA Adaptive Sync for use with the RTX 2060.

btw i just receive the acer monitor, playing it with my PS4 now. i like the display
How are the colours on the display? I read reviews online saying that you have to manually adjust the colour for it to be better.

yes, i feel that you have to manually adjust the color, the default mode like soso only. but i don't really know how to make it better.

any idea where can i google to make the color better?

i can't test it out yet, i'm still waiting for my processor before i can have a beast set up with my new CPU.

i tested only with ps4, switch and my asus laptop (geforce 840m) which is 4+ years old which i don't play any games on it cause of lag, still on windows 8. so can't really try out the freesync/gsync i guess.

You can try 20% brightness, gamma 2.4, color temp neutral. Not sure if it works on the VG271UP but it works on the Acer XV272U. Theoretically it should, since both monitors are supposedly the same, except for design differences. Do let me know if it works!

Also, how are the response times on the panel?

haha cannot, 20% brightness too low it seems. the user also nv say use HDR mode or use freesync mode.

i can't really full test the response time yet. so far seems quite good

Do IPS panels actually look that much better than TN panels? Wondering if its worth the extra $150 over the PRISM haha
If you have 2 displays side by side, you will then appreciate the benefits of IPS in terms of color reproduction. TN panels are really common in the past and having used a couple, the red always look more orange instead. Which is why I will not recommend nor use TN panels nowadays. The benefits of TN is of course faster response time and price. It is cheap for a reason and I feel those supposed gaming TN panels are just a way for manufacturers to sell you poor panels at a significantly higher price than what they are worth.

Have you looked into SuperSolid R270? It's similar to the Prism but I've seen it go on sale for less than $400. Not many reviews around, though.

Aiyo I see.. Just pulled the trigger on the monitor! Hopefully will come without dead pixels, excessive glow or screen tearing issues haha.. I'm sure the colour can be calibrated to an acceptable setting eventually!

Looks like it has pretty decent specs for the price! But yeah like what you said there are not many reviews around so thats a bummer... Not sure if the panels they use are of good quality or not

nice one, i can confirm the acer is good, you can set the color yourself to your own preference so that's the only troublesome part.
