didn't do too much with it tbh, just went into PBO setting and set offset all cores to -20. Didn't really bother too much with stability testing, because at stock the hardware is already good enough for me

I believe you have a very good cpu and mobo, as I heard 5800x is very hot chip and advertise max boost only 4.7MHz.

Ya agreed at stock it's is already very good out of box. Any chances to UV your card?

It does run hot, but apparently that's by design.

For normal usage i keep the offset to -14 with scalar x10. In cinebench r23 that allows it to reach 4.46-4.5ghz all cores while remaining under 90c(about 87-89c). During single core runs, individual cores are able to boost to 4.84ghz and temps are a very manageable 68-70c. That's with a non air-con room.

I suspect the chip is definitely decent, but I think I could probably push it a little harder with a better board.

Wow, was away for a bit, didn’t realize the other Rtx3000 thread had been shut down. I guess might as well, the negativity was quite high there. I suppose the folks here are happier as they all have their cards

What software y’all use to overclock and undervolt? I tried evga precision X1 but I can’t seem to undervolt

I use msi afterburner, the voltage frequency curve editor in precision x1 is not very user friendly.

I use msi afterburner for undervolted, asus gpu tweak II for oc benchmark testing

Asus gpu tweak III is very nice but still in beta, I tried it but not stable when playing cyberpunk so uninstalled. Will wait till it's official release to try again.

Tomorrow 3060 release and hopefully the new driver will have the resizable BAR build in for benchmark testing

How do you guys undervolt? I got different results from different methods, quite confusing actually.

1st Method

1. Select 837mv and pull up to 1860mhz
2. Shift + left click 840mv to the end of graph
3. Drag the highlighted graph down to 1860mhz

2nd Method

1. Select the last point 1250mv
2. Hold shift and drag the entire curve down to 1860mhz and apply
3. Find 837mv and drag only the point to 1860mhz and apply

Both method is stable but Method 2 is cooler by 5c

haiz if they release the bios for resizeable bar i will need to reformat my boot drive in order to use it.
