Hope local prices reflect that soon.

That is because of low yield TLC substandard chips are flooding the market now.... that's why can get the kingston A400 120G at $38 last month....

2019 will be substandard QLC chips.....

LOCAL prices DROPPING? Ha Ha Ha. Maybe by like 10 dollars.

Local prices wont ever reflect that anytime soon. Our local SG retailers are too greedy+stupid for that. They'd rather live in 2013 and charge u 400 sgd for an ssd i can buy at 200 sgd on amazon :)

'High rental' la bro, thats why we need charge u 200% markup :(

Ssd prices are dropping on Amazon. Not much on Lazada or Qo10. I wonder why hmm...

For me when I buy my gskill ram in May is around 310 now I see Lazada selling around 269.

Lazada selling 1TB samsung 860 evo for 369 SGD.

AMAZON sells the same including shipping to SG for 240 SGD.

local prices are dropping indeed:)

Maybe in 10 years local retailers will wake up la.

I think our local retailer price on lazada for 120gb and 240gb SSDs is pretty good now, only at the bigger capacities does the price difference vs Amazon become damn big.

Whatever it is, don't support local business... Landlord benefits the most. Let the physical store close down one by one..

For me, even when same price or just slightly cheaper, I would still buy from overseas.

Agree. At capacities of 512gb and lower, local prices are quite competitive. Above that, local prices are still charging quite a substantial premium. Particularly so for Nvme type.

But how is Merdeka gen going to asset enhancement if this happens :(

Now buyers are aiming for 1TB and above.

citysquareresidences 14-10-2018 05:54 PM

how much is 1 TB ?

faithsilence 14-10-2018 06:26 PM

Amazon prices for 500GB and 1TB is quite unbeatable cos I bought a Evo 860 1TB at around $250. IIRC, a Samsung 500GB T5 from Amazon is around $150.

Saw a 250GB WD Blue M.2 at $99 in Lazada.

1TB 860 evo on amazon going for 240 sgd inc shipping. Dont bother looking up Lazada and Qo10. Lazada and Qo10 charge about 50-70% markup on prices from Amazon.
