Hi

does anyone uses the streacom casing without their nano psu? like buying from after market alternatives?
i realised that their psu is like 100+ dollar.

typically, if i use a j5005, no gpu and maybe 2-3 hdd, how much power do i need?

All power supply is a combination of power rectifier + transformer + voltage converter
A power rectifier is to convert AC from your wall power socket to DC power

That "chip" is voltage converter where it uses the 12V DC power adapter and convert it to all sorts of DC voltage that the computer uses.
