If based on history, they will milk us gao gao with 1060, 1070, 1080 and titan before giving us 1080ti. Also must see whether AMD got give them pressure or not.

All down depend how much you spending vs performance worth it or not..
Unless sky drop down money, you can get all 1080ti, 11series, 11ti series all in your room..
Not point buying a 1080ti or 11ti series if you not into modern monitor or sitting there without playing demand game also..

i chiong finish most AAA title (single player campaign) then sold my gpu off. now use 970 to play those less performance demand game

waiting for 1180ti for next AAA title game. looking forward to division 2, anthem and cyberpunk2077..the rest....meh...

that said, will only get 1180ti if the performance is at least >30% increase from 1080ti..if not just gonna hoot back 1080ti at lower price

Just remember newer generation of GTX is more power efficient
That means lesser heat generated + power savings!
Even when they have the same lvl of performance, newer generation cards are always better. Unless you like your room to be like a furnace. Use 980ti instead of gtx 1070 which has very similar performance, if you like fireplace. . I expect the newer generation of gtx to be more power efficient than gtx 1070.
