Pay in GBP, our local bank's credit card exchange rate is better than Amazon's exchange rate.

The import fee deposit is basically 7% of the 'Total before VAT' value, as any imported goods above SGD 400 will attract 7% GST.

That's what I did. Pay in GBP due to more favorable exchange rate from credit card

any other stuff worth buying due to the good exchange rate ? I noticed many many brands they dont ship to singapore directly like Denon or new models of certain brand.. i think this Mojo is one of the best liao.. thanks to Maximus_XXVIII for sharing.

My experience so far with Amazon is that they will hold your shipment in Singapore and dispatch at a later date. Else this will jeopardize their priority shipment option.

It's usual. It'll hang there, the shipper waiting to fill the container before shipping. Anyway Amazon lull period shipping is usually fast even with FSSG or cheapest shipping option.
