Can anyone teach me how to improve in describing and comparing sounds? Do I plug in 2 IEMs (the ones I want to compare), repeat the same song and keep repeating till I find some differences. And change the song once there's no other differences I can take note of?
i think you can start by taking note of what you can hear from the 1st iem, or what captures you in that particular song. then which you compare to the 2nd iem. but comparison is harder, i rather you note down your views on an iem without comparison.

i did that when auditioning for a ciem.

I just tried comparing a pair of ZS3 and LZ Z03A. Did find some differences after listening to a few songs, but it's hard to differ them considering they both feature 1 DD and both have v shaped sound signature

Edit:
What I found was (let me keep it short)

ZS3 :
Brighter in general
Acoustic guitar sounded sharper (perceived clarity due to enhanced treble)
Vocals have more body
Tighter bass response
Wider Soundstage

LZ Z03A :
More sonic character
Treble rolled off earlier so they're not that bright
Vocals sounded more airy and breathy
Bass response is smooth, followed by the attack

That's was I found in 30 minutes. I know there are still more factors like clarity of vocals, instrument separation (which I feel they're as good) etc..
Can anyone guide me along? Thanks a lot!

Meaning comparing is harder than just describing? But how do I know the benchmark to rate the sound I hear?

Hard to describe.
People might not agree cause they hear lower lows or higher highs than you.

I dont dare to descibe sound as neutral or what cause everyone's have tested different IEMs and have heard different highs level or lows levels.

Most you can do is general descriptions or compare IEM to IEM.

haha, satki is one thing.
you can go read on head-fi, there are tons of impressions.
and perhaps you can start here.
glossary of describing sound.

Yup, I read the sound glossary at least 5 times already, still reading repeatedly hopefully I'll be able to memorize all the term
Thanks anyway! Appreciate it!

But head fi cannot be trusted sometimes. Some reviews are so good that they can make budget IEM can outperform a TOTL.

If you want a screen protector quick.

Daiso 4.3 inch screen protector fits well.
Its fits the width of WM1A just right.

It is enough to cover the screen part but the Sony word and bottom after the Walkman logo is not covered.
Where did you get the nice black pouch from?
