well, you forgot one thing. you can lug around several SD cards considering their size. So, best scenario to use it for audio/video will be to put the audio on the player and the video on the SD cards since I presume noone rewatches movies so often on a PMP.

And this V5 is running on flash memory, should consume less power.

And it is running on Windows CE, there is a possibility of extending purposes if one decide to write for it

I got the player already, BTW, Thanks Curo for the info where to get the player.

Battery life is quite impressive. Much better than my Archos 605. Had used it for around 4 hours (Some videos and pictures) and still on 50%.

I mainly use it to watch movies and my manga Jpeg collection.
Viewing angles are very good, except from the top. If you demo the player, you will understand what i mean.

In terms of music, coming from someone who is used to sony thumping bassy quality, i am kinda disappointed. I'm no audiophile, but I am quite disappointed and it seems some music have distortion on my PX100. The album art is also too small for my liking.

Overall I am very happy with this player since the main purpose is to use it for Video and Manga. Would recommend it to anyone looking for Video player with long lasting battery life.

Cowon V5 seems to have worse SQ than its other products according to some sources. Wonder if its because of Windows CE in built normalizer (if there's one)

I think SQ for V5 is very good. The best I have ever heard. My colleague and I both bought V5 from amazon and had been listening to it for more then a months. It is really good. No regret in term of SQ , video quality and battery life. for a pure portable media player, u can't ask for more.
