I ordered mine two weeks @ US$79.97 but Amazon is very kind to credit back US$10

I agree that filter may be an issue as I dont see Altec selling them separately

Maybe you can check out at head-fi if there are posible replacement.

Hope the offer stays over the weekends

*** EDIT ***

I just found out that Atlec is selling the im716 accessories

Check here

lowest i find online for Er6i is US$109... anyone found any lower?
Lowest i see is US$85 onwards. You can cheack with EPS, idealsound and amazon. Normally a bit cheaper. BTW, your head shrink very useful. lol. I add them to my KSC75. Large L plug i also can put in. Stretch it a lot to fit.

IMO, it is better to buy the im716 @ US$69.97 since it enjoys the same sound signature as Ety.

Read from head-fi that ER6i < im716 <= ER4P/S

Will receive mine next week
Oh you ordered the iM716? Hey post some pics and a review if possible when you got them. I think no need to buy extra filters now cos the ones supplied will last for sometime. Buy only when you run out of filters or dun plan to upgrade the iM716. And they dun accept orders outside of USA.

From headfi, they said that it is difficult to drive them. Quite power hungry. See if its true or not.

Can but you need some mod to do it. Instructions at headfi. Search there. Or you can just buy Shure grey flex for E1/3/5. Can fit UM1 just fine.

I use a pair of sharpnose pliers. Insert the nose thru the headshrink and open the pliers to expand them. Then insert the other way round to expand them evenly. But after expansion, the shrink will not be as even and nice as a non-expanded one. But still looks nice la. I've done it on 5 pairs already. EP630, K14P, 2 X KSC75 and Sportapro. Ichy hands.

vPost charged me $19.08 (note that base charge is already $9.99 )

They estimate the item will be delivered within 5 to 7 working days.

Optimistic expectation is: 20 May 2006 (Next Sat)

Post pics no prob.

But I cant do review ... pai seh ... uncle's ears not as sensitive as you guys and me no audiophile

I can pass you the im716 to compare with your ER4P then write us a review

Indeed Altec Lansing does not accept international orders online but they may accept via Fax.

Will try contacting them on Mon.

Can la. No one here is audiophile. My reviews are very basic and easy to understand. Just some simple description of the sound can liao. Maybe one day we can meet and listen to the 716.
