Earphones that provide clear and crisp sound

Hi all, complete noob in this area.

Have used earphones like beats X(came free w/ my macbook), but when listening to certain songs(esp jpop anime songs with female voices) they sound muffled and dull.

I listen to genres like mando, eng pop, kpop, jpop etc, but not heavy metal/hip hop etc.

Budget is below 300 preferably.

Can anybody recommend me something that can provide me with crisp, balanced sounds? much thanks.

We can only recommend the place for you to test the iem....

Stereo @ Westgate or ConnectIT @ JEM

Let your own ears decide.... not ours.

if you want cheap and cheerful sound that is hd certified, you can try Xiaomi Pro HD (triple drivers, RRP: $50) or the 1More series for dual and triple drivers (a bit more expensive at $1-200), or the KZ models ($30-60 depending on how many drivers you want. i have used the xiaomi dual and triple drivers and have found them extremely satisfying for the price (i was using a $700 UE triple fis previously)

your beats earphones should have only 1 driver per ear, so these few should be a great improvement to you. if u desire more expensive ones from very established brands, you should go to the shops as mentioned above (stereo electronics and jaben) where you can try all the different models before selecting one with the sound signature you like.

Only up to a point.

'High fidelity' reaches a point where it makes no difference to the listener to go even higher fidelity.

I mean how good can reproduced sound get compared to the original sound of a live performance?

CD quality is just about as good as it can get.

For that budget, I would say get a Tin Audio T2 or KZ AS10 and top it up with a decent DAC Amp such as the Topping NX4 DSD. And maybe have a little left to buy some eartips , carry case etc.

Your playback source will play a big part if your earphones are of decent quality. A decent earphone will still sound like crap if your output source is crap to begin with.
