Guys help. Earphones enter washing machine. :(

Hi all! I very sad. My Westone W20 went into washing machine. It was a birthday gift from my best friend. Stupidly careless of me.

Now I test the earphone, it's volume and clarity is reduced. Any hopes of saving it? I have read that using hairdryer helps, can someone confirm? Thanks!

You can try use a hairdryer and blow dry it.
However the magnet has been soak, now maybe working.
Later when inside starts to rust or worse, it will stop working
eventually.
My best advice, plan your next earpiece.

Try to seal your earpiece with a ziplock of uncooked rice for 24-48 hours?

Muddy sound is mostly due to the sound damper in the nozzle being soaked and wet, the rice is he best way to rectify, hope there's no buzzing sound after its dried

Don't think after dryed can work like new.
Can imaging how smaller size of that micro BA driver, once the water went in, don't think the water can be drying by self

You should have let it dry 100% before using. Put inside container with thirsty hippo.

But you chose to use it then ask for help. What's the point?

W20 sucks anyway. Go get a better model
