Today I drop by marina and so went to Sennheiser to test headphones.

I must say I liked the HD518 alot! Too bad there's no discount to the $199 pricetag.
558 sounds more or less like 518 , but 598 sounds more neutral.
But all 3 are very comfortable on the ears with no major clamping force.

Do you need a microphone function that works with the S3?
You can try out the Astello Radiance and also the Dunu Trident which is slightly over $50

It is very tight at SGD50, especially if you need inline mic / control. AiAiAi Pipe, AKG K328, Munitio Billets.

It is very difficult to get 3rd party IEMs that has mic and volume control to work with HTCs.

You may want to checkout the AKG K390NC. With inline mic but no volume control and not wireless.

AKG K390NC confirm can work with my htc one? where to find it?

also other than klipsch s4a, what other options do i have?

I think there is a UE ears ultimate 350 or 400, are those good?

How is klipsch s4a and AKG K390NC compared with say the affordable Jays One+

anyone tried the cheap TDK SMARTPHONE series?

Astello Radiance has no mic, no noise cancellation, surrounding sounds easy to get in but its gives very nice sweet sound for vocals and instruments, but the wires are crappy, keep tangling...

The inline mic / control should work. Failing which, you will just need the FiiO LU1 adaptor.

- Your rig : iPhone 4 & FiiO E6 amp with FiiO L9 LoD.
- What type of usage : Purely music
- File format used in your source : mp3(iPhone).
- Genre of music you listen to : Koop
- Headphone / earphone type : IEM
- Other requirements : volume control will be good but not compulsory. Looking for a balanced IEM.
- Budget : Below $100.

I currently have a custom tf10 and Dunu trident. I just need another IEM for use on the go and in school. The Dunu trident is too bass heavy for me and sometimes will have a headache listening to it for too long. Also I'm looking for a PMP for use and able to support lossless files. Budget for PMP is also below $100.

Very sorry for the late reply,

Would like to thank kaltzbalger and anyone else who helped me by giving advices a few days ago. I have been poisoned after doing more research on IEM's, and will increase my budget to $200.

Would like to know which of these are better,
Yamaha EPH-100, Shure SE215, VSonic GR07, Atrios Mg7
If I have missed out any other good IEM's around my budget, please do feel free to recommend and advice.
Currently leaning towards the EPH-100.

I will quote my previous post but updated.

- Your rig : iPhone, PC
- What type of usage : Mostly Music, Occasional Gaming
- File format used in your source : MP3, rarely others
- Genre of music you listen to : Most varied genres and languages of Metal, Rock, Pop, Ballad
- Headphone / earphone type : IEM
- Other requirements : None
- Budget : $200 (UPDATED)

VSonic GR07. Very good all rounder, not bass heavy but still has good quality bass for the price.

TDK EB950/Sunrise Xcape IE? Very highly rated by ClieOS (In Ear Matters: The List) . I found them very good for the price as well. Slightly above SGD100 though. $110 maybe?

And for PMP with lossless below 100 hands down is Sansa Clip+. Cannot find a better player out there with the price.

I haven't heard the EPH-100 so no comment. Among the SE215, GR07 and MG7 my favorite is GR07. In short: If you want bass, go for MG7. If you want an all rounder with great clarity and soundstage with slightly warm signature get GR07. SE215 just falls short in almost every aspect to GR07 (except maybe bass impact, but not bass quality). Not to mention SE215 has durability issues (mostly cable).
