i have a shure E2C and also a westone UM1 and both have the problem of having sound only on 1 side. The sound only comes back when various attempts of twisting the Y section. Anyone managed to find a solution to this problem?

$30 price includes the jack? Looking to reterminate my 2.5mm to 4.4mm though.

Thumbs up

Thank god i found this post, my first iem i bought 5 years ago was the Westone UM1. There was a wire that broke off hence no sound on the right side.

I brought the iem to the uncle at Sim Lim Tower yesterday for repair and was able to learn alot from him. Very knowledgeable and skilled! Thanks to him my old memories is back to life

For pricing wise he only charged me $30 for the re-termination of wire.

I hope my post helps for those who encountered similar problems as mine
