o_O whoa ~ kinda confused ~
Juz wanna know if PMX100 is a good investment?
PMX100 is the neckband verison of the PX100. SQ should be the same but how it actually fit and sound might be different because of the neckband.

any one knows the price of stax?
Stax i got on idea. You can check out the price list at sgheadphones.

AHHH!!!! Don't remind me of those PS-1's...My search for them has been a futile one.... Btw, I too dislike the W1000's. For me, my theory is this: If you don't like it, forget spending more time with it. Usually, spending more time with something that you don't really like gives me the feeling that you've just spent cash on something u dislike and try to enjoy it so as to make the money u spent on it worthwhile kinda excuse...But of course, its not necessarily true.

Anyways, try the AD2000, imo, its so much better than the W1000. Even hellbreath gave it a thumbs up and said that it sounded so much better than the W1000.
What i mean was some headphones dun impress 1st hand. Need some time to grow on you. I also dun really listen to it for long, only 5 mins and its off my head. I think the much cheaper AD500 is better. Of cause if i dun like the W1000. i will not buy it. lol.

Recently, i have a thing for headphones with 2 metal tubes on top of the headband.

I can make u some headphones with two metal tubes on top of the headband Hmmm, lets see, AD2000, AD1000, W5000, SONY SA5000 (if u don't count in the cloth headband that covers the metal stuff)...And the AD series from AT and maybe the AKG K1000 ? Btw, W1000 also has metal tube underneath those plastic tubes.

I seriously need to get a more than decent source and amp....But I can't help it. I'll collect headphones until I'am satisfied before I start off with a source. For now, I'am keeping my eye on the Meridian G08 source and maybe a RKV amp with impedancer...It seems to be quite an alright setup....

No lah...I ain't rich. Its just a hobby that I'am vry devoted in....I beleive that there are a hell lot of people in Singapore who'se into headphones and have a way better system than me. People spend money on handphone and computer but I spend mostly on headphones...That's all.

*nods* Yeah.

Being into headphones locally is a very rare hobby though, I think

But as long as you're enjoying it, it should be a good thing

I tried both the ATH-A900 and SR325 before. Both are good, but I prefer the ATH-A900 for its larger soundstage and better imaging

I find the SR-325 lovely but its a little heavy and the highs are somewhat a tad too harsh for my liking. Nevertheless, its a wonderful pair of cans but yeah, like what you've said, the soundstage isn't that ideal...

Depends on amp and headphone. Higher impedance cans usually benefit more thanlow impedance ones.

An amp will definitly improve the sound of any headphone/ cans.. it also depend on the source you use...

For high ohms cans can just increase the gain of the amp..
For high sensitive can it will benifit from a lower gain amp

Above 100 ohms? Its hard to say and it depends on the cans too. eg, KSC75 is 60 ohms but they're not too difficult to drive.

SR60 and SR80 is very similar. 80 got a little more bass and benifit more with an amp. You can use headroom's review as a guide. If you can wait, i will finish my review of a SR80 and MS1 in a week or so.
