Need help.

Okay. I'm using a Tf10 with my Sflo2. and i have been enjoying them for a while. I've used iems for as long as i can remember.

Two days ago. I decided to take a look at headphones. I've read many reviews, comparisons, opinions etc. And i decided to go down to audition a pair of headphones.

My headphone of choice was the audio tech ESW9. I heard that it was one of the better headphones in terms of clarity. And clarity is what i'm looking for.

So i went down to Stereo to test the ESW9 out. I plugged them into my sflo. And played a song. And i was shocked. There was like a kind of noise. like static. the vocals were not clear. and the bass was not smooth. I tested the same song on my Ipod nano and the results were the same.

I went on to test a Grado s80i & urban ears $99 headphones. And i did not have this problem.

I went to ask the staff why. They gave me a few possibilities. Source not good, headphones underpowered, demo set faulty. and i would like to hear your opinions.

Btw i've heard the ESW9 like a year back on my friends mp3. I'm not sure what brand of a mp3. It sounded like S*X. So i am really confused as in why i got this result.

U do know that there is a hiss when the S:flo2 touch screen is on.

It's more apparent on sensitive iems and headphones.

The hissing will stop when S:flo2 screen switches to standby mode.

Hey TS,

We tested with our own Ipod classic (some in wav. some in lossless) and we can't really detect the static or fuzzing noise you're encountering

Do let me know when you are in our shop so that we can maybe try on the spot to see whats wrong with our headphone

Regards,
Vincent
