"poking" at the shell of the IEM

Hi, this question may sound weird. I just bot a westone 1.. Due to e fact this was my first time using over the ears iem.. I realised I kept using my finger to push in (the shell part) to make sure the iem is secure..

The question is.. Will this action affect the driver inside?

Haha, I noe tis is a silly question.. But pls help in enlightening me!!

And how do u guys wear it over the ear? At the front or over the back? I realised over the back, sometimes the right side, sometimes it has a being "pulled" feel..(Like it is not long enuff)

Thank You!!!

Well I've been pushing IEMs since a loooong time ago, and none of them has a damaged driver yet.

What do you mean by "at the front or over the back" ? Can't visualize lol. You just stick the Westone 1 into your ear, then loop the cable around the ear so that it goes behind the ear.

EDIT:
Guy above beat me to it haha

the ear buds are probably too big or too small causing an ill fit. Thats why you keep pushing them in? Maybe change to a smaller/bigger size and try?
shouldn't be a problem with you pushing the shell. The shell is there to protect the internals anyway

Ha it wont affect the drivers la...unless u push it till there's a dent, then maybe it will. And what do u mean wearing the wire over the back? It's dangling from the back?

Wow u guys are fast

I wear it from the back.

In the beginning you get really irritated cause it kinda tugs once in a while. But after a whole once you get used to it. It's okay.

I don't like wearing it down the chest cause it's too mainstream. Lol

Westone How to Wear

Notice how she wears it with the wire pointing downwards before pushing the housing down to secure it. This is the proper way to wear Westone IEMs. Cheers!

He means. Whether cables dangling in front of you. Or behind you. You know? Behind like those artists.

I put it in front. Artists got wireless receiver at the back so they just put it at the back I guess. Putting cables at the back feels weird to me.
