SGD400 Headphones + DAP

Hi guys! I am beginner is the audio area and am looking into getting into audio systems. However as a beginner, I would like recommendations from people what would be the best budget combo for a headphones + DAP which is under SGD400 total for a start into this area.

I would prefer earphones that are either in-ear or over-the-ear.

As far as I know, Fiio X1 or Fiio X3 II seem to be rather good DAPs at the moment. Do recommend me better ones if there are.

Unfortunately, I am unable to stretch my budget further.

Thank you!

You should just invest the whole of your budget to a good pair of earphones and just use your phone to play music. Dont waste time with those budget daps

Non conclusive i'd say. May not find a $400 iem that he would prefer over a cheaper one. Perhaps just come up with some shortlist for both iem and dap, then go listen and permutate to see which suits TS.

That said, $400 indeed quite tight for both. Considering used?

Can consider the MeeAudio Pinnacle P1
Have not audition it personally but reviews are pretty positive.

Heard the P1 at Stereo Vivo, very impressive for the price tag, with detachable cable and metal housing, its a steal. Read from headfi its apparently out of stocks everywhere.
