Find a friend who work at Sony Malaysia, paid 2 headset for S$850. (after exchange rate)

Sold one at $540. Effectively personal use headset cost S$310. Maybe after few years sell it for $400 or $350.

Took a few mths as need someone flying from MY to SG to help bring in.

My friend Bought from sony staff sale sg for S$300

Juz use a slip of paper and go thru the rotating joints.
Most likely dust specs in it.

Then put some grease to reduce the friction. Works wonder for me.

Qoo 10 is having 10% of the new wh-1000xm2. Stack with the $100 coupon if you can buy stuff to hit $600.

Rrp $549 - 10% -$100. Roughly $400 provided you have things to buy to make up the extra $100.

The qc 35 and 1000x are all $300 plus now with the stacking of coupons.
Think the mdr -1000x is only $320+ .

My MDR-1000x headband crack after 10 months of usage. Just got the headband replacement from Sony@313 within a week. Free of charge and no question asked for the repair. Hope the new headband won't crack again.

hi, anyone noticed that noise cancelling feature has deteriorated over time? Any fix?

I use daily for past 10 months.

No problem with mine. I suspect your microphone is choked?
Test whether you can listen to surrounding areas clearly when you enable ambient mode.

Use a air can to spray the microphone holes to clear the dust.

Bose QC35 is an alternative, IMO better actually. If I want better sound quality, I would use my wired audiophile headphone setup. For everything else, QC35 is better.

Why not try the mdr-1000x mark 2?

I am quite satisfied with my mdr-1000x. The ambient voice is really good. Let you hear surrounding sound while walking home from work.
Be safe with traffic conditions. Especially from the reckless electric scooters and bikes users.

How is the QC35 ambient mode? Good?

IIRC QC35 no ambient mode. Only ANC on or off
