guys, i've been having this pain in my joint and i'm very scared it's gout.

i understand basically tht glout is formed by protein and uric acid, is tht true?

if it is then how do we stay in this diet but yet avoid glout since we eat lots of meat which has protein inside

why don't you get it checked out first - see whether is it gout or not.

Will Eating a Paleo Diet Cause Gout?

More likely to cause gout are the common American dietary staples such as sugar-sweetened beverages, industrial seed and vegetable oils, refined carbohydrates, and excessive alcohol (beer in particular). The Western diet pattern is a risk factor for gout; a nutrient-dense Paleo diet is not.

Gout is caused by the excess amount of uric acid in the blood. The acid crystalises and deposits mainly at the joints.

Gout causes swelling and is usually pain to the touch as well. So if yours is just joint pain without tenderness, then unlikely for it to be gout.

Did you do any high impact exercises prior to the pain? Maybe that could be the cause.

if you suspect that is the early symptoms of gout, then you should cut down on your protein intake, up fats intake and drink more water to flush the uric acid build up out of your system.

I don't believe in all this theory like avoiding mercury like a plague. or avoiding taking xrays because of radiation.
everything should be done in moderation and I think cooked food is safe.
I've got a friend's dad that tt passed away due to too much sashimi.

it ahs the symptoms

anyway, from ur input, it might be the beer as i've been drinking and i've not been following the diet strictly recently as my gf just can't seem to detach from carbs completely and still wants to cheat once in a while

actually is it ard ur finger area?? i have this also sometimes
suppose to be joints, so can be fingers too

wat u mean be tenderness?

no high impact leh but i'll drink more water, the protein intake for me quite unavoidable since my main intake for fats are eggs and fatty meat actually
