Chocolate Hazelnut Spread (homemade Nutella)

Finally...hahah
Just finished making this using the above recipe. Turned out great! Now to see if it will be spreadable after chilling

I believe using whole milk would be a good substitute for the coconut milk used in the above recipe

Made it mainly for my family to eat Although I did sample here and there while making it

Yeah the only downside is the sugar inside the recipe. However an unsweetened nutella won't be appealing to anyone. Notice the recipe uses coconut palm sugar instead of refined white sugar, and i also opted to use organic dark chocolate.

Most importantly is to take note of the glycemic load before eating it. Compared to the commercial nutella, this has a much lower load. Of course best is don't eat this at all la

I made this with Nutella Popsicles Recipe - Laura in the Kitchen - Internet Cooking Show Starring Laura Vitale in mind. Maybe I will just remove the condensed milk from the recipe and substitute the whole milk for coconut milk.

I do miss the cendol in Melaka.

No la just thought of mentioning the importance of taking note of glycemic load. But I must say the coconut palm sugar really makes me miss the chendol from jin jin at ABC food centre And also the mango durian ice
